  • Recruitment & Professional Data: Curriculum Vitae (CV), cover letter, work experience, language proficiency.
  • Qualification & Equivalence Documentation: Academic diplomas, transcripts, vocational certificates, and work reference documents required for official qualification equivalence procedures (notably with German recognition authorities).
  • WhatsApp API Metadata: Conversation history, timestamps, delivery statuses, and attachments sent via the WhatsApp Business API channel.

3. Purposes of Processing

Your personal data is collected and processed for:

  1. Candidate Screening & Selection: Reviewing qualifications, conducting interviews, and matching candidate profiles with international partner opportunities.
  2. Degree Recognition & Equivalence Procedures: Preparing and submitting official administrative files for diploma validation with competent authorities (primarily in Germany).
  3. Automated & Direct WhatsApp Communications: Delivering application updates, scheduling interviews, requesting supplementary documents, and providing candidate support.
  4. Legal Compliance: Fulfilling statutory documentation and regulatory retention duties.

4. WhatsApp Business API Service

To facilitate streamlined applicant communications, Nexus Careers uses the official WhatsApp Business API operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. / Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.:

  • By communicating with Nexus Careers via WhatsApp, you acknowledge that messages and related metadata are processed through Meta's secure infrastructure in accordance with WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy.
  • You may opt out of WhatsApp communications at any time by replying STOP or emailing privacy@nexus.careers.

5. Data Sharing and International Transfers

Your personal information is confidential and shared strictly on a need-to-know basis with:

  • Authorized internal recruitment personnel at Nexus Careers SARL.
  • Prospective partner employers (predominantly based in Germany).
  • Official credential evaluation and recognition bodies in Germany, solely for candidate placement and diploma accreditation.

All cross-border data transfers are covered by adequate contractual and security safeguards.

6. Data Retention Schedule

Nexus Careers enforces strict data storage limits:

  • Active Selection Phase: Data is retained throughout the recruitment evaluation process.
  • Withdrawals or Unsuccessful Applications: Retained for a maximum of six (6) months following applicant withdrawal or case closure, after which it is permanently purged.
  • Successful Placements: Retained for two (2) years following the official placement date to satisfy post-placement integration tracking, warranty compliance, and credential audit requirements.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including Tunisian Law No. 2004-63 and GDPR principles where applicable), you are entitled to:

  • Access & Rectification: Review or correct any personal data we hold about you.
  • Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request premature deletion of your profile, subject to statutory retention obligations.
  • Revocation of Consent: Withdraw your permission to receive WhatsApp messages at any time.
